“I am thrilled to have been chosen by the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta to represent the spirit and joy of the first Fiesta and the 50th coming in 2021, said Killen. ”This first image, “Full of Hot Air”, shows the morning sun breaking over the Sandia Mountains outside of Albuquerque with the Road Runner aloft in an early rising balloon" -- Dan Killen
"Full of Hot Air" is filled with New Mexican references beyond the Sandia mountains in the background. The Zia Pueblo sun symbol is featured in the balloon's design and the state flower (Yucca) and the state butterfly (the Sandia Hairstreak or Callophrys macfarlandi) make an appearance as well. (The New Mexico state bird is the Road Runner.) This serigraph has been printed one color at a time on archival paper and measures 30" x 20" unframed.
